Local activists protest US intervention in Syria
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Several South Florida residents took to the streets to voice their dissent about the way the Obama administration is responding to the crisis in Syria.
A couple of dozen demonstrators showed their opposition to a U.S. military strike at a rally held Sunday afternoon at the Torch of Friendship in Downtown Miami.
"We don't believe that America should intervene," said protester Rune Masri. "The solution to war is not more war. I mean, it's really just as simple as that."
Members of the group said change in the Middle Eastern country can be brought about without resorting to war.
