Former Dolphin treats kids to new apparel
DAVIE, Fla. (WSVN) -- New year, new gear for dozens of South Florida kids.
Thanks to the foundation of former Miami Dolphins player Jason Taylor, 60 students were treated to a $300 shopping spree at Old Navy.
It's part of his ninth annual "Cool Gear for the School Year" program. "I grew up having to wear last year's clothes and not having a whole lot of money to feel good and look good going to school," Taylor said, "so we're trying to eliminate that distraction, go out and shop and have some fun."
The kids got to enjoy their shopping spree with local celebrities. Among them, 7News meteorologist Vivian Gonzalez.
