Mother gives son public punishment
NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A middle school student was given a public punishment by his mother for some bad behavior at school.
The 12-year-old was forced to stand on the corner of Northwest 104th Street and Seventh Avenue holding a sign that read: "Here we are on the 12th day of school, and I've already been expelled because of my behavior."
His sister hopes this punishment will straighten him out. "I hope that this teaches him a lesson. I hope that he'll feel not embarrassed, but he'll feel like he doesn't want to do this anymore, I don't want to be this kind of kid that acts up in class," she said.
The boy's mother was also out there with him.
His family says he was expelled from Thomas Jefferson Middle School for hitting a girl.
