Pair of crooks burglarize 2 homes
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Police are searching for two burglars who broke into two homes in the same day.
Investigators said both burglaries took place Monday afternoon. The first burglary happened at a home along 26th Road and Southwest Seventh Avenue. The homeowner's mother-in-law noticed a dark-colored car parked in front of the home. "I walked to the car, to the front window," the mother-in-law said.
As the mother-in-law approached the vehicle, a man in the car yelled out to his accomplice, who then runs from the house with a pillowcase filled with $50,000 worth of cash, jewelry and other property. "They could've hurt my mother-in-law," the homeowner said. "What if they would've killed her? She's an old lady. What if they would've killed her?"
Both suspects then fled the home and shortly after committed another burglary at another home along at Southwest Fifth Avenue and 25th Road. Surveillance cameras at this home snapped captured the crooks' faces as they left the home.
Police said both subjects are white males who stand about 5 feet 11 inches tall and have multiple tattoos.
"It's frustrating," the homeowner said, asking to remain anonymous. "This is the third time, and it's a good neighborhood."
The homeowner had some words of advice for the crooks. "Get a job," the homeowner said. "You look healthy, you couldn't get a job? Why do you have to rob other people?"
If you have any information on these burglaries, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
