Man accused of stealing players' belongings from locker room
PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida man is accused of stealing nearly $7,000 worth of players' belongings from a locker room during a high school football game.
Investigators said 19-year-old Willie Lewis Jr. burglarized the visitor's locker room during a football game between Monsignor Edward Pace High School and Grove Community High School in Riviera Beach last Friday night.
Police said seven iPhones and seven iPads were among the more than $6,400 worth of items stolen from Monsignor Edward Pace High School team members.
The players helped police track the accused thief by using the "Find My iPhone" app on iCloud.
Lewis was booked in at the Palm Beach County Jail early Saturday and released Sunday evening.
