Ambulance involved in rollover; 5 injured
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- An ambulance was left on its side after it was involved in an accident with another vehicle.
A private ambulance transporting a patient with medical assistance was struck by another vehicle and then rolled on its side, Wednesday afternoon. Three people, including a patient, were inside.
The incident occurred on Oaks Road and State Road 7 in Davie. A tow truck later arrived on the scene to upright the ambulance. "It's not every day we get a rollover, but a couple of times a month," said Sal's Towing driver Ken Justenson.
Davie Fire Rescue said they had five patients; one refused to be taken to the hospital. The four other people were transported to Broward Health Medical Center with minor injuries.
The private company that runs the ambulance has not commented on the incident at this time.
