Former employer of Navy Yard shooter sends apologetic e-mail
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Fort Lauderdale company that employed the Navy Yard shooter, Aaron Alexis, is offering both condolences and services.
In an e-mail sent to the head of the Navy, the CEO of The Experts wrote his company could help "improve security." The e-mail, which came a little more than 24 hours after the shooting spree that left 12 people dead Monday, also offered an apology.
The company said it hired an outside company to perform two background checks on Alexis.
