2nd Miami park closed after contamination concerns
MIAMI (WSVN) -- The City of Miami is closing another park over contamination concerns and has announced plans to test soil at all its parks.
Two areas of contaminated soil turned up at Merrie Christmas Park along LeJeune Road and Barbarrosa Avenue Tuesday. That park is now closed indefinitely.
The closure comes days after another park tested positive for contaminants. In that case, Blanche Park was temporarily shut down after crews found toxins in soil samples.
