Suspicious package detonated by bomb squad
OPA-LOCKA, Fla. (WSVN) -- Bomb squad technicians have given the all-clear after they detonated a suspicious suitcase dropped off in front of a government office, causing a road closure and traffic delays.
Investigators said the package, weighing approximately 50 pounds, was dropped off by a taxi cab driver on the front doorstep of the Drivers License Service Center, located off 126th Street and LeJeune Road, north of Gratigny Expressway.
LeJeune Road was temporarily closed off, resulting in extensive traffic delays, but has since been reopened.
