LeBron James shows off new timepiece
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Miami Heat forward LeBron James returned from his honeymoon and took the time to unveil a new piece of jewelry.
In front of dozens of invited guests and media, the two-time NBA champion showed off his new endeavor with Audemar Piguet. A limited edition timepiece, the Royal Oak OffShore chronograph watch, which James helped design.
The watch retails at $51,500, with only 600 existing in the world. "I think the initial conversation, initial dialogue, came from someone I look up to, big brother of mine Jay Z," James said. "He also did a watch with Audemar once upon a time, and you know, I started to enjoy and buy my own over the years and really love the company. The conversation continued to happen, and I'm happy now that I can be one of the ambassadors for such an unbelievable company."
James said he wanted to make sure he made a watch that would go well with his tuxedo or his sport attire.
