New Facebook messages released in murder
MIAMI (WSVN) -- The State Attorney's Office have released several Facebook messages from the South Florida woman murdered by her husband.
Officials said the messages were written by Jennifer Alfonso just hours before police said her husband, Derek Medina, shot and killed her in their South Miami home nearly two months ago.
In a Facebook message to her friend, Kelly Barry, Alfonso writes, "Dude ...Der was supposed to wake up last night."
In the messages, it appears Alfonso was arguing with Medina about him oversleeping and missing a date night.
"I feel like I'm begging for him to hang out with us. I already know what his excuse is going to be, that his alarm didn't go off."
In a separate message to her friend, Alfonso writes, "It's stupid [expletive] like this, that makes me think crazy."
These messages were written about three hours before Alfonso was shot and killed, according to authorities. A picture of her lifeless body was then posted on Facebook.
Last month, the State Attorney's Office released surveillance video from inside the home where Medina is seen calmly exiting the home after the shooting.
Medina has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
