Wal-Mart to join Midtown Miami
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Despite opposing efforts, Wal-Mart has received the OK to be a part of Midtown Miami.
A Miami zoning board denied an appeal Wednesday by a group of activists to stop the giant retailer from building in the area. The group argued that the plan did not conform to the Midtown zoning codes.
The superstore will be built on a two-block section of midtown's south end, between Northeast 29th and 31st Street, and Midtown Boulevard and North Miami Avenue.
