Ailing passenger treated on board Miami-bound flight
MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Fla. (WSVN) -- A woman on board a Miami-bound flight Sunday was treated by fellow passengers after she took a fall, witnesses said.
"I just heard a big thud and a bang, crash, and I look to the left and there's a lady on the floor," said Robert Schultz, a passenger on the American Airlines flight heading to Miami from Chicago.
Schultz took a video of the incident after the woman fell. "This lady was walking down the aisle and literally just collapsed and fell over and smacked her head on one of the seat rails," he said.
The witness said the woman remained unconscious for about 40 minutes and then fell a second time. A doctor and a nurse who happened to be on board tended to her, at one point lying her down across several seats.
Once the plane landed, the woman walked into the terminal helped by her airborne caretakers.
