Waterspout forms off Biscayne Bay
OFF BISCAYNE BAY (WSVN) -- A waterspout formed off Biscayne Bay National Park, early Tuesday afternoon.
At around 12:10 p.m., the National Weather Service in Miami issued a special marine warning for the area for this weather phenomena, after receiving eye witness reports of waterspouts off Miami Beach.
About five minutes later, 7 Skyforce HD, which happened to be flying in the area, captured the tightly formed waterspout, not far from the Deering Estate. It dissipated a few minutes later. A boat could be see traveling past it at quite a distance before the waterspout disappeared.
The NWS continue to advise boaters to use caution as stormy conditions are expected to continue throughout the day as a front pushes in from the west-northwest. Additional funnel cloud and waterspout formation could be possible throughout the day.
