Garbage truck driver dies in single vehicle accident
NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (WSVN) -- A South Florida truck driver was pronounced dead on the scene after one of vehicle's tires blew out on the highway, Monday afternoon.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, at around 12:30 p.m., a SWS Waste Management truck crashed into a barrier while traveling northbound on the Turnpike near 106th Street.
Officials said, the driver lost control of the garbage truck after a right tire blew out. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
No one else was injured.
