Woman hires police officers to kill husband and friend
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have arrested a Boynton Beach woman who allegedly tried to hire two police officers to kill her husband and another man.
According to police, 38-year-old Annybelkis Terrero tried to hire two of their own to commit the murders. They said she paid them upfront with a shotgun, ammunition and stolen credit cards.
The Boynton Beach officers, who were wearing police tactical vests and even identified themselves as police officers, said they were working with Terrero for weeks as a confidential informant on some drug dealers when she made the proposition.
The officers said they decided to go undercover and agreed to help her with the murder. Terrero, they said, then agreed to pay them an additional $30,000 after the job was done, money that would come from her husband's life insurance policy.
Her friend, William Straub, who she allegedly tried to put a hit on, was in court Friday as she faced a judge. He said, he does not think she was serious about the whole thing. "When she drinks, she's just crazy. She says things like, she stole the Lindbergh baby, she was on the mother ship. She's out there," Straub.
She remains in jail with no bond and is facing bribery and first degree pre-mediated murder charges.
