Fire shuts down local mall

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida mall has been forced to shut down for the next couple of days due to a fire.
The incident occurred early Sunday morning at 163rd Street Mall at 1205 NE 165th Street. More than 100 firefighters battled the blaze. Some stores sustained fire damage, while billowing black smoke damaged the entire mall. "It's closed, because we don't have power right now," said an unidentified man.
Meanwhile, a customer was unable to return an item she purchased at the mall. "I was gonna exchange something I bought yesterday," said the unidentified woman.
Crews worked throughout the day to clear the mall of carbon monoxide.
Officials said the mall will remain closed for at least two to three days.
