Girl, 11, hurt when neighborhood dispute escalates

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- Broward County authorities say a woman and 11-year-old girl were injured when a dispute between neighbors escalated to a shooting.

A Broward Sheriff's Office spokesman said a bullet grazed the girl and another bullet hit a 26-year-old woman in the leg during the Friday night shooting.

Both the girl and the woman were taken to a South Florida hospital.

Authorities told the South Florida Sun Sentinel that the shooting followed an ongoing conflict between neighbors.
