Woman returns diamond ring found in supermarket

Woman returns diamond ring found in supermarket

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- A woman returned a 4.6 karat diamond ring she found in a wholesale supermarket.

Mary Klemm saw the ring on the floor of the meat aisle, picked it up, and turned it in to the main office of BJ's Wholesale Club, where she works.

Lorraine Wurtzel says the ring must have fallen off her finger Tuesday afternoon while she was shopping. Her late husband bought it for her in the 1980s for their 20th wedding anniversary.

She said she realized later that night that it was gone and called the three stores she had been to earlier. She said she frantically went store to store retracing her steps until reaching BJ's.
