Suspected rapist behind bars

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Broward Sheriff's Office have arrested a suspected rapist on the run.

Investigators said Guy Cherubin, 31, violently attacked and raped a homeless woman back in September. A couple of weeks later, officials suspect, he attacked a 39-year-old Boca Raton woman who was walking in the same area along the beach.

Cherubin's relatives said he is innocent. "Yes, they accuse him, they accuse him, but did he do it? And they will find out, they will find out the truth. I don't believe it," said one of his relatives.

Detectives said Cherubin's DNA was found at the scene of both attacks, and they believe there may be more victims out there.
