Suspect arrested in school bathroom beating

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have made an arrest days after a brutal beating in a South Florida school.

Police acted on a tip from the suspect's girlfriend, who said the teen wanted to turn himself in.

On Tuesday, school officials found 16-year-old Alfredo Bocanegra beaten unconscious in the bathroom of South Dade Senior High.

Rescuers airlifted Bocanegra to Miami Children's Hospital.

Witnesses said they had seen two boys fighting.
