Family pleas to find killer of loved one
MIAMI (WSVN) -- A family made a desperate plea to the public after their loved one was found shot to death just hours after his birthday early Saturday.
According to officials, Rolando Santos, 45, was found shot dead next to his vehicle at 5660 SW Third St.
Santos owned a construction company. On Friday, family and friends gathered together to celebrate his 45th birthday. Hours later, his life was taken.
Santos mother and son gathered Thursday afternoon at the Miami Police Department to make a desperate plea for justice. "I can't even put into words. He was the center of the family, you know what I mean," said Juan Carlos Santos, the victim's son, "He was always the one that was there for all of us, basically supported the whole family. It's a terrible loss"
The family thought Santos had gone to bed after his birthday celebrations on Friday, but received the horrible news on Saturday.
