Teen critical dies after hood surfing stunt
CAPE CORAL, Fla. (AP) -- A southwest Florida teenager is dead after sustaining head injuries from a fall off the trunk of his friend's moving car.
Authorities say Justin Brantley, 16, was doing a stunt commonly known as "hood surfing," which involves people trying to balance on the hood or trunk of a moving car.
Police said on Wednesday, Brantley was on the trunk of his friend's Toyota when he fell. Brantley was rushed by ambulance to Lee Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
He was pronounced dead Thursday.
