KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) -- A Monroe County Sheriff's deputy is dead after his car collided with a semi-tractor trailer truck in the Florida Keys.
The officer's name was not released. The two cars collided shortly after noon Wednesday. The officer was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is causing delays at the 62 mile marker of the highway through the Florida Keys.
