Flooding closes Broward County courthouse
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- Broward County's main courthouse is closed for the day, thanks to a water main break that flooded the first two floors of the building.
The sheriff's office says that as a result of Sunday night's flooding, most of the courthouse's phones and computers are down. The clerk of the court offices are also affected. The courthouse will be closed on Monday.
Computers used for emergency bond hearings were still working as of midnight, however, so the video conferences between inmates and judges are expected to go forward as planned.
