Meteorologist confirms Fla. tornado
PALM BAY, Fla. (AP) -- A National Weather Service meteorologist says it was a tornado that touched down in a part of central Florida over the weekend.
National Weather Service meteorologist Scott Kelly says the tornado that hit Palm Bay had winds of 65 to 75 miles per hour but was "very spotty" and "not a continuous track."
No one was injured, but severe weather knocked down trees and damaged about 14 homes in the area.
