Flooding keeps Broward County courthouse closed
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- Broward County's main courthouse is closed for the second straight day, thanks to a water main break that flooded the first two floors of the building.
The sheriff's office says that as a result of flooding Sunday night and Monday morning, most of the courthouse's phones and computers are down. The clerk of the court offices are also affected. The courthouse was closed Tuesday for the second straight day.
Computers used for emergency bond hearings were still working Monday, so the video conferences between inmates and judges are expected to go forward as planned.
