Police arrest suspect, shots fired
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Broward Sheriff's Officers said they were forced to fire on a driver Sunday.
Police pulled the suspect over near Northwest Ninth Court and 24th Avenue. According to authorities, the driver went into reverse, hit the officer and then took off.
Police shot at the suspect when he abandoned his car after crashing into a light pole with a gun in his hand.
Authorities missed the man, but soon after took him into custody.
