Police searching for gunman
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for a gunman on the run after he allegedly shot a person and robbed a home.
Hollywood Police said the shooting happened as the man ran from a house he robbed at South 17th Avenue and Adams Street Sunday night.
A friend of the robbery victim said he watched the robber shoot one person then smack a woman in the face. "It was one person that was shot, and then the lady, the girl, was hit in the face. As the guy was running away from the scene he passed her, came back and said, 'Give me your cellphone.' She said, 'No,' so he punched her and knocked her out to the floor and took her cellphone," he said.
Both victims are expected to be OK.
If you have any information on this shooting and robbery, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
