KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) -- The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says a $15,000 boat waiting to be raffled off to benefit a hospital has been stolen.
The boat, a 13-foot-3-inch special edition 2008 Boston Whaler, was reported stolen Friday from outside Mariner's Hospital in Tavernier, where it had been parked. A boat store in Islamorada had donated it to the hospital's foundation, which was charging $100 for raffle tickets to win the boat.
Anyone with information is being asked to call Crime Stoppers of the Florida Keys at 1-800-346-TIPS.
