Man found dead in his South Florida home

SOUTH MIAMI, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are investigating a gruesome discovery after a mother found her son dead inside his home early Tuesday morning.

Miami Police are investigating the death of 28-year-old Robert Arias found inside his home located at 6941 Southwest 63rd Avenue. According to reports, the shower inside the home was running and Arias was found lying dead in a blood-soaked shirt.

Arias' uncle is desperate to find out what happened to his nephew. "It's very tough on the family. I really don't know the details on exactly what happened. All I know is that they went in, they found him inside the house," said Carlos Rodriguez.

Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators are searching for any clues that might point to Arias' killer. "At this time, it is still very early in the stages. They are still currently investigating what the injuries are," said Miami-Dade Police Detective Aida Fina-Milian.
