Two dogs killed by bees; one man stung

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Two dogs are dead after being attacked by Africanized bees Sunday.

Willie the Bee Man was called by a resident living at 4525 SW 24th St. after bees were seen swarming.

When the exterminator arrived, two dogs had already died and one man had been stung by the swarm of bees. The man is expected to be OK.

Alina Alvarez was also stung by the bees. "They were across the street at my neighbor's house," she said, "and they were everywhere, and they followed me wherever I go. It's like you can't get rid of them."

A hive with about 60,000 bees was then removed from the neighborhood.

The bee expert said that the queen may have been moving her hive, causing the bees to attack.
