Men caught on surveillance robbing local 24-hour pharmacy
MIAMI (WSVN) -- Miami Police are searching for two armed men who were caught on surveillance video robbing a 24-hour pharmacy early Sunday morning.
Police said, at around 6:30 a.m., the two men entered the Walgreens located at 1695 NW 20th Street and held-up the store manager, a clerk and a customer at gunpoint. "These individuals burst into Walgreens with their guns drawn as if they were entering a battlefield," said Miami Police Officer Jeffrey Giordiono. "One of the subjects put a gun to the manager's head, forcing him to the back room to open the safe, the other suspect put a gun to the cash register clerk and forced him to open the registers."
The thieves ended their crime spree with a customer who walked in later and held him at gunpoint and took his wallet. The subjects then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money.
Authorities released brief descriptions of the two subjects. The first thief is described as standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a black hat, a dark long-sleeve top and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds and wearing a blue hat, white long-sleeve top and black jeans.
Miami Police said the men took their time, which leads them to believe that this robbery might not be their first.
