Police arrest hit and run driver
DORAL, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have arrested a man who they said stole a car and then slammed into two vehicles before trying to flee the scene Saturday.
Doral Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene of the accidents in the area of Northwest 87th Avenue and 25th Street.
According to police, the suspect was driving a stolen Nissan Maxima when he hit a woman's Volkswagen sport utility vehicle.
Investigators said the chase came to an end near 87th Avenue when the suspect hit a van and caused it to roll over. The driver suffered only minor injuries.
Sonia Delgado said, as she was getting off the highway, a man side-swiped her car and then sped away. Delgado chased the suspect with her 6-year-old daughter in the vehicle. "I was at the stop sign, coming from the Palmetto, and he hit me, and then he took off," Delgado said.
A witness, who had his boat attached to his van, also began to follow the suspect.
All of the victims are OK.
