Remains found in Biscayne Bay belong to 21-year-old man

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Authorities have identified human remains found in two bags floating in Biscayne Bay Wednesday morning.
Police said the bones belong to Osben Laparra, 21, of Miami. According to the victim's brother, Laparra went missing Saturday.
Miami Police said someone walking down Biscayne and 79th Street found a bag that looked suspicious and called 911. A few hours later, dive teams discovered a second bag, this one near an apartment complex by the 79th Street bridge. Both bags contained Laparra's remains.
One local woman described the discovery. "It was probably a couple of feet wide. I thought it was leaves or maybe drugs when I saw the police pulled up," said Leslie Trucker.
Police are working the case as a possible homicide and the investigation continues.
