MIAMI SHORES, Fla. (WSVN) -- For the third day in a row, police have found more body parts floating in Biscayne Bay and police believe they all belong to the same man.

Early Friday morning, a kayaker in Miami Shores spotted a black garbage bag floating in the water, roped it in, at brought it to a pier near 96th Street and called police. Once again, human remains were found inside. Now investigators are waiting to find out if they are connected to the grizzly murder of a young Miami man, 21-year-old Osben Laparra.

Article ImageThis marks the sixth such find in three days. The gruesome discoveries began on Wednesday morning where two black garbage bags were found near the waters of North Bay Village. The following day, someone found a bag of bloody clothes near the shore in Pompano Beach, which police feel was related to the body parts. Soon after the clothes were found, police found two more sites with body parts: a leg in the water near Northwest 36th Street and an arm in the waters off Bicentennial Park in Downtown Miami.

City of Miami Police Commander Delrish Moss noted that it has been more than two decades that a body has come to them piece by piece. "It's been at least 20 years that we've had a case where several body parts were found," he said.

Miami Shores police responded to the scene on Friday and discovered part of a torso inside the latest bag recovered from the bay. Only DNA will confirm whether these body parts are all from the same man, but police believe these discoveries are all related to the murder of Laparra, a Guatemalan national working in Miami as a construction worker. "Ultimately, we will find who did this and who was responsible," said Moss.

Article ImageLaparra was last seen at Taquerias El Mexicano, a bar on Southwest Eighth Street in the City of Miami, early Sunday morning. His siblings left him there, as he was talking with a blonde female. A neighbor would later see him passed out on a chair. It would be the last time he would be seen alive. "My mom called him, and he's like, 'Oh, I'll be there in 20 minutes,' but he never came back," said Stephanie Suazo, the victim's friend.

Police said they expect to find more body parts in the coming days.

Police are hoping that someone at that bar saw something on Saturday night or maybe even noticed his killer. If you think you can help police in this case, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
