
Large reward offered for serial ATM thieves
WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A large reward is being offered to anyone who can help catch some repeat ATM thieves.
Anyone that helps authorities catch the crooks responsible for cleaning out an ATM inside a South Florida drug store could net a reward worth up to $10,000.
Surveillance video cameras captured the criminals in the act on May 5. It happened at a Walgreens near Flagler Street and Northwest 84th Avenue In West Miami-Dade.
Investigators believe the crooks have have pocketed more than $300,000 during 15 different ATM robberies. Police said they get into the businesses through back doors or windows. Once inside, they head to ATM machines, break into them and steal the cash inside.
Security cameras at the businesses have captured still images of one unknown male and two unknown females. On one of the videos, one of the women can be seen sitting in a wheelchair while the other woman pushed her around.
