HIALEAH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Family members believe the man found dead in a home is that of their missing loved one.

Police removed a bag containing the body of an adult male from the home located at 650 East 19th Street after neighbors complained of a foul smell. Authorities searched the home and found the body buried in a shallow grave underneath the house Thursday morning. "Around the house there are vents, there are openings that you can access where you can access these crawl spaces, so it is possible that somebody crawled through the space, pulled the body in there, buried it in a shallow grave in an attempt to conceal it, but obviously not counting on the decomposition of this body," said Hialeah Police Detective Carl Zogby.

Family members said 33-year-old Jose Alegre who lives in the home, has been missing since Saturday, and they believe the body found is that of Alegre. "On Monday, my dad started calling him, he didn't Article Imageanswer, so he came over, and he found his car there, but the door to his house was open," said Yissel Ona. "His room was a mess, his bed sheets were missing and supposedly there were drops of blood on the floor."

Sources told 7 News, that it's believed the murder is the result of a love triangle, and family members are hoping police will find the person responsible for this horrible murder. "He has no heart, I just hope they find him fast because it's just not something a normal person would do," said Ona.

Authorities continue to investigate the scene.

If you have any information on the disappearance of Alegre, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
