4 dead identified in Everglades plane crash

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities have released the names of four people who were killed when their small plane crashed in the Florida Everglades.
The Broward County Sheriff's Office reports that the single-engine plane went down about 6 p.m. Sunday west of Fort Lauderdale.
The Medical Examiner's Office has identified the occupants as being husband and wife, Bruce and Karen Barber, both 46, their 14-year-old son Payton, and 46-year-old Phillip Marsh.
Shirley Barber, Bruce's mother, said the family was flying back from this past weekend's football game between Florida and Tennessee. She said the couple's daughter, Chloe, had stayed behind in South Florida.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
