Newlyweds in serious condition after shooting
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (AP) -- Police say a newlywed couple remains in serious condition after they were shot in their South Florida home.
Pembroke Pines police said 57-year-old Scott Nelson and 51-year-old Julie Nelson were still in the hospital Wednesday, a day after they were shot. Investigators have not released information about where or how many times the couple was shot.
Police rushed to their home early Tuesday after getting calls of burglary and shots fired. Authorities arrived to find the two victims at the home.
The couple was married three months ago, on the Fourth of July.
Police have not released details about a possible suspect.
