Fisher Island Ferry and 24-foot boat involved in crash

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Florida Fish and Wildlife officials are investigating a crash on the water involving a 24-foot cabin cruiser and the Fisher Island Ferry.

FWC said there are conflicting reports on what exactly happened out on the water Sunday. According to the captain of the cabin cruiser, he told investigators that his engine stalled in the area of Government Cut. He then told investigators that the Fisher Island Ferry struck his boat.

Five people were aboard the cabin cruiser and one woman was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The woman was released from the hospital a few hours later.

Officials continue to investigate the accident.
