AT&T suffers statewide service outage

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Many AT&T mobile service subscribers in Florida have found they can't make make phone calls due to a state-wide outage.

The outage was not publicized but, a call to the AT&T service center, revealed there is some kind of equipment issue for some cell phones, specifically data phones like the iPhone and Blackberry, according to a technical support representative.

According to that rep, the problem could take hours to resolve.
