Mother apologizes for sons accused of setting teenage boy on fire
DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- The mother of two juveniles accused of taking part in setting a friend on fire stepped forward to make a public apology.
Five teenagers face charges in the case, including two of Sherry Jarvis' sons, 13-year-old Jeremy Jarvis and 15-year-old Denver Colorado Jarvis, for attacking Michael Brewer on Oct. 12. Both boys are in a juvenile detention center for allegedly taking part in setting Brewer on fire.
"I would just like to first and foremost start off with an apology to the Brewer's family. We'll like to express how horribly sorry we are. This is a horrible incident that should have never occurred, and we pray for Michael's recovery everyday," Jarvis said.
Michael remains at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Doctors said his recovery could take months.
