BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police said a South Florida woman attempted to kill her husband at least three times before finally getting caught, and they have the video to prove it.

According to police, 26-year-old Dalia Dippolito hired a hit man to kill her husband, Michael Dippolito. Investigators said Dalia was acting when she cried at the fake crime scene they set up to make her think the murder had taken place on Aug. 5.

The hit man Dalia hired turned out to be an undercover officer, who the 26-year-old was meeting with to discuss the plot. Authorities have released video which shows Dalia showing the undercover agent pictures of Michael and handing him a $1200 deposit. Dalia appeared to be happy on tape as she told the undercover agent the best day and time to murder her husband. "Around 6:30 or 7:00, he always walks the dog across where the lake is, and our door is always unlocked," Dalia said.

"There's been a lot of funny business going on here for a long time. This explains money and things, you know. It just makes a lot of sense," Michael Dippolito said.

Dalia has been charged with solicitation to commit first degree murder. Prosecutors said they are sure they will get a conviction and mentioned they have more than 10 hours of video to back them up.

According to court documents, the first attempt consisted of Dalia putting antifreeze in her husband's tea. Authorities believe when that didn't work, she turned to a hit man.
