Police release surveillance footage of gas station carjacking

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police released surveillance video footage in hopes of catching two suspects who brutally attacked a driver during a convenience store carjacking.

Surveillance video captured three crooks as one of them knocked a man to the ground several times before taking off in his vehicle, a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire. The attack happened at a BP Gas Station near Copans Road and Northwest Third Avenue.

The main suspect is described as a black male, standing about 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds. He wore a black hooded jacket, black tank top and tan shorts.
