Family makes desperate plea to find shooter in double murder
MIAMI (WSVN) -- A family made a heart wrenching plea to the public, after their loved one was found shot to death inside a sport utility vehicle.
Franco Rodriguez's family made a desperate and emotional plea to the public Sunday in hopes of catching the person who killed their loved one. Miami Police said 39-year-old Rodriguez and 32-year-old Manual Suarez were shot and killed in Downtown Miami near Northeast 10th Street and First Avenue, early Friday morning.
Rodriguez's wife, Michelle clung to her sister-in-law Margie Tores as she spoke on behalf of the family. "This has been the biggest impact in our lives right now. This was a family man, a good man, a caring man, a generous man that two monsters decided to destroy our lives," Tores said. "They destroyed five children's lives, his wife's life. I urge you and anyone that knows anything to please come forward. Let the police do their job. Come forward because these monsters have destroyed our lives," said Tores.
Police said another car approached the SUV that Rodriguez and Suarez sat in and opened fire and then fled the scene. According to police, this may have something to do with an altercation Rodriguez became involved in at a Hialeah strip club called PT's. Surveillance video provided by the club shows a person of interest.
Police are looking for a man nicknamed Big Baby. Big Baby is about 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 300 pounds. Authorities are also looking for a blue Chevy Malibu with tinted windows.
If you have any information on this shooting, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a reward.
