Broward County commissioner seat filled

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A county seat has been filled after a commissioner was suspended.

Dania Beach City Commissioner Albert C. Jones is the new Broward County Commissioner. Governor Charlie Crist made the appointment Monday afternoon. "This is a life changing experience for me, and I want to make it a life-changing experience for the people of District 9," said Jones.

Jones replaces Joe Eggelletion. Eggelletion was suspended from office after federal authorities charged him for money laundering back in September.
