CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida family is coping with the loss of their young daughter after a deadly car crash Thursday.

Five-year-old Alejandra Caicedo was killed after being ejected from her family's car on the way home from a family Disney vacation.

The Caicedo family was on the Florida Turnpike when their mini-van suddenly veered out of control 14 miles south of Yeehaw Junction. "I was so scared, and when I looked back my kids weren't there, my kids weren't there. They probably flew out the window. I saw them lying on the ground, away from the car," said father Jaiver Caicedo, speaking through a translator.

Caicedo's 8-year-old son Nicolas was also ejected from the vehicle and remains hospitalized.

Both children had their seat belts on, but when the vehicle hit the median, the force was to strong it ejected them. "Saved up and saved to send kids to Disney for a day, and on the way home they have this horrible accident and they loose little girl, and they don't have much of anything," said Caicedo.

The five-year-old girl was pronounced dead on the scene.

To help the Caicedo family, Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, located at 9521 Westview Drive in Coral Springs, donated 30 percent of all sales from 5 to 9 p.m.
