Family reunites with adopted Haitian daughter

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A South Florida family has been reunited with their adopted daughter.
After waiting several years, the Lowenstein family finally brought their adopted daughter to South Florida from Haiti Tuesday afternoon.
Father Jerry and Susan added 7-year-old Yoldeen Lowenstein to their family. "It's incredible. It's something that we have been looking forward to for six years. We met Yoldeen six years ago," said Susan.
The family flew to Haiti Tuesday morning to bring Yoldeen home after last week's deadly earthquake. "We were very concerned about her life because we didn't know where she was, and we heard about all the death tolls and the tragedy down there, and we just hoped and prayed that she wasn't one of them," said Jerry.
Yoldeen said she is happy to be home with her family. "I'm glad to be here," she said.
The Lowensteins took on their flight other children who were adopted from Haiti so that they can enjoy their new families in the United States.
