Car crashes into home

MARGATE, Fla. (WSVN) -- A driver crashed into a South Florida home causing major damage.
A car plowed through a fence and several trees near Northwest 30th Court and Banks Road.
The vehicle struck the house but did not cause any damage. The homeowners were sleeping just feet from where the car landed. "I was sleeping here on the sofa, and I heard a big bang, so I just jumped to the ground. As soon as we came out my brother, a Coconut Creek cop, we came to the car that was here, right next to the pole, and there was a lady that got hurt and her kid on the passenger side," Juan Carlos Escobar said.
Crews transported the driver to North Broward Medical Center. Witnesses said the child in the car was not hurt.
